Description cabrol norberto 2012-03-17 22:32:51 CET
Mageia 2 beta 1 64 bits on desktop PC with amd 64 Athlon X2, 2 hard Disk :
    Hard Disk A : Seagate 500 gb.
    Hard Disk B : Seagate 500 gb.

This Disk are in "Raid 0" in the bios.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert DVD of Mageia 2 beta 1 and boot
2. Chose "Install Mageia"
3. Press F2 key and select "Español" language, and press enter key
4. Select idiom to use : "Español" in my case, and select next.
5. Accept the license and select "next".

Next, are a cuestion :

"
BIOS software RAID detected on disks /dev/sdb /dev/sda.Activate it?
    Option :
      1- Yes
      2- No
"

Select "Yes" option and then select "next"

Next, have a cuestion :

"

I cannot read the partition table of device mapper/nvidia_gdfadagc,it's too corrupted for me :(
I can try to go on, erasing over bad partitions (ALL DATA will be lost!).
The other solution is to not allow Drakx to modify the partition table.
(the rror is bad dmraid (missing partition mapper/nvidia_gdfadagcp1), you may try rebooting install with option "nodmraid".
)

Do you agree to lose all the partitions?

"

Select "No" and click in "next".

In the next step need choose the keyboard layout and click in "next".

Then ,the system say a message :
"
I cannot find any room for installing.

"

Here, i need restart the system because the installation is stop.

In this moment i have install mageia 1 whit the hard disk in "Raid 0" and havent problem in the installation of mageia 1.

Thanks.

Norberto Cabrol.

This has been fixed afte3 beta3 which is why I'm asking you
to try a network install from latest boot.iso from your favorite mirror
