When shutting down Mageia (Alpha2) in VMPlayer, following error is passing by:

Saving mixer settings /sbin/alsactl: save_state:1547: Cannot open
/var/lib/alsa/asound.state for writing: No such file or directory

Can not find /var/lib/alsa/asound.state myself on the system.

Created a folder named /val/lib/alsa.
Following was creation of a tex-file asound.state into the aforementioned folder.
No more issues during shutdown.

Yeah this is a recent upstream change in alsa packages. I'll fix the package.

Since it was me who updated alsa-utils the last time, I fixed my crime, with Colin's help on IRC.

Should be fixed in alsa-utils-1.0.24.2-2.mga1.

Reopen if it's not fixed after updating.
