I didn't select a password for user when installing Mageia (I have password only for root). So I log in without a password. Also tried with user name 'xguest' and changing the session doesn't work too. Keywords:

(none) ok so it's a upstream bug in fact. (and a duplicate in our bugzilla) https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=634811 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 3368 *** Status:

RESOLVED Thanks Manuel. Well, I've put a password for user using Mageia Control Centre and this time it worked. IceWM is quite nice with the oxygen-aya-azul theme. Only the background does not fill the desktop, but there is no easy way to tweak the background. I also tried to log in as root, but I always get the message 'Authentication Failure' and yes, I am very sure that I entered the password correctly. We'll have to wait for upstream, then. |
