+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #3976 +++

Description of problem:

The "Universal Access Settings" found on Gnome on my ATI machine are missing from Gnome on my nVidia machine.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Mageia 2 Beta 1 i586 DVD

How reproducible:

Always - on this machine. I guess that it is video driver related.

nVidia GeForce2 MX/MX400 nv11

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot to run level 3 (level 5 does not work, bug report submitted).
2. Can't find "Universal Access Settings" (top right of screen).

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

This could be a Gnome2 versus Gnome3 issue.

In Mageia 2 the Universal Access icon is missing from the top row, but there was a warning that there were insufficient resources for Gnome3.
