Junior_job Hello Richard Neill,
To be explicit, you wanna change this paragraph :
"This feature is now included into the backend itself, it is disabled by
default. Set autovacuum parameter to true into postgresql.conf"
by
"This feature is now included into the backend itself, it is enabled by
default. Set autovacuum parameter to true into postgresql.conf"
Is it correct ?CC:

benoit.tuduri I think you could simply delete the paragraph. The default database settings are now sensible. However, if you want to edit it for Postgresql9.2, this would be better: "pg_autovacuum is a daemon which monitors the database and runs vacuum and analyze when needed. This feature is now included into the backend itself, and is enabled, with sensible options, by default. (It can be configured by adjusting the autovacuum_xxx parameters in postgresql.conf)." Is this bug still present in Mageia 4 & 5? Keywords:

RESOLVED |
[This is a very minor "cosmetic" bug] Description of problem: The file: /usr/share/doc/postgresql9.1-server/postgresql.Mageia.releasenote contains a message about pg_autovacuum: "- pg_autovacuum pg_autovacuum is a daemon which monitor database and run vacuum and analyze when needed. Introduced as a postgresql contrib in version 8.0, mandriva rpm was providing an initscript to start the daemon at boot. This feature is now included into the backend itself, it is disabled by default. Set autovacuum parameter to true into postgresql.conf" saying that autovacuum defaults to off. Actually, it now defaults to on.
