malo Hello, having installed Mageia 2 beta 3 recently on my own computer (I wrote this report from seeing the problem on someone else's computer), I would like to report this is actually not a bug. I checked both on Mageia 1 and 2 beta3: when setting my language to French (in LocaleDrake), if you click "Other countries" (???) on the second page (country selection page), you have access to an "input method" scrolldown, where you can indeed select Ibus (hence for instance writing in Japanese with a French speaking locale). Once ibus selected though, you'll even see the option in the main country window (hidden by default). So that was not a package/configuration bug. Sorry for this. I would still say that's a UI bug (or UI improvement. So a feature request?) because that's definitely not intuitive to have to click "other countries" in order to be able to activate an input method other than the default one. Nor it is intuitive that we find this configuration in the Country page (should be a page on its own). There are still a few issues on Mageia 1, like all Japanese characters are small squares in LibreOffice (though I have Japanese fonts. I can write Japanese in the browser for instance). But I guess this has been fixed somewhere in Mageia 2 because there it works fine. So that's not a problem. Should the severity be changed into enhancement (for UI)? "So that was not a package/configuration bug. Sorry for this. I would still say that's a UI bug (or UI improvement. Better to open a separate issue for that. thanks (and I let you close this bug :) ) Ok. I close this one. I'll open another UI bug/improvement report later. :-) Oups. I have to write a comment to close! Status:
