Since the Beta update, Mageia2 doesn't start any more. Black screen. Hi can you try in failsafe mode ? If you don't have the last version of systemd add at grub systemd.unit=rescue.target Component:
Installer =>
RPM Packages there is no failsafe mode in the grub menu. Mageia starts with the 3.1.4.2 kernel. I added the line systemd.unit=rescue.target in the boot/grub/menu.lst (Hope it was that) It works now but it is a bit long, one minute from power on to connection screen and 45 sec from here to the welcome music. Shutdown lasts about 50 sec. (In reply to comment #2) > It works now but it is a bit long, one minute from power on to connection > screen and 45 sec from here to the welcome music. > > Shutdown lasts about 50 sec. Yep some bugs are open against that https://bugs.mageia.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=2120&hide_resolved=1 (not sure all of them are here) So do is work without the failsafe mode and all update ? You can also add splash=verbose in the grub (yes in was the right place) or echap > e > edit > etc at boot, so we can what happen since it seems you don't see anything Good news! In your list, I found the bug 3656 and in it : "Please ensure you have services mandi and avahi running... ...that /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0 does not contain a line NM_CONTROLLED=yes # change to 'no' if 'yes'" I did that and the wifi is working! Now I am updating Cauldron and afterwards will see what else isn't fine. Ok so we can close this bug ? Keywords:
