This should be fixed in harddrake-13.89.1. With that version installed the driver will not be changed back to ati/radeon. The issue was that harddrake didn't recognize XZ compressed proprietary driver modules and therefore thought that the proprietary driver was not installed and switched to the free driver. Status:
