lxdm was removed from the task because of: "switch back to gdm as lxdm is not good enough for now" http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/task-lxde/current/SPECS/task-lxde.spec?view=log oliver, ennael, maybe we can remove that ? CC:

oliver.bgr I saw that commit message from ennael, but didn't want to ask her before beta1 release. In my opinion lxdm is preferable to an alternative, be that gdm or kdm, as it does not pull in as long a list of dependencies for desktops I won't be using. Furthermore it has recently been improved to fix a bug which was causing a cpu to max out. It is certainly better than xdm as that does not appear to offer an easy way to select shutdown options or window manager selections. If it is not deemed good enough to be used with LXDE then may we at least select it as an alternative to kdm and gdm in the installer? I notice leafpad is also listed as a "suggest" and is also not installed. (In reply to comment #4) > I notice leafpad is also listed as a "suggest" and is also not installed. same as bug 4649 and lxdm, missing in the iso too. From the changelog of task-lxde;

+ Revision: 215799
- push version to 2
- replace gdm by lxdm as suggest
Can we confirm that lxdm is now in the iso?Status:
