Description claire robinson 2012-02-20 12:54:02 CET
Found in /var/log/messages for beta 1 in virtualbox

Feb 20 11:42:44 localhost pulseaudio[2470]: [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write!
Feb 20 11:42:44 localhost pulseaudio[2470]: [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_intel8x0'. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.
Feb 20 11:42:44 localhost pulseaudio[2470]: [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: We were woken up with POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.

This is just a typical error. It should be discussed with alsa developers via the alsa-devel mailing list. This is just log warning that things are less than optimial and thus it's not an actual error that can be realistically fixed by me and as I suspect no-one else will be that interested in fixing it either, I think it's best to just close as wontfix as that's my most honest (if somewhat less than optimal) reply :p Hope you don't take offence to this :)

Not at all Colin. I'm glad it's nothing serious.
