Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja Keywords:

dmesg file with 3.4.1-server-1.mga3 kernel
Sorry for this long delay, but I needed to be sure before telling anything. It disappeared with Mageia 2. What is surprising is that the new Cauldron kernel (3.4.1-server-1.mga3, see attachment above) still has the problem. It looks as if the config of the release kernel is somewhat different than the config of the Cauldron kernels. And the cause of this bug is somewhere among their discrepancies. Regards. Bernard Still valid for Cauldron Keywords:

Created attachment 1594 [details] dmesg boot file At boot time, the kernel hangs after displaying: isapnp: No Plug & Play device found If I press a key, it immediately continues the boot normally with: Switching to clocksource tsc etc .... The full dmesg file is attached. This does not happen at every boot but nearly half the time. All Cauldron 3.1 and 3.2 kernels showed this behaviour (including 3.2.6-server-3), but it does not happen with Mageia 1 kernels on the same hardware.
