Might be connected to bug 1934

There was nothing about an xsession crash, only a crash of kaffeine.

Magnus, is this still present in beta1?

Yes, but in the moment I have no Gnome install.

My Kde beta1 Cauldron (based on beta1) has also a crash.

Kaffeine starts one second a dvb-t channel and then falls back to login screen.

With RC and Hauppauge Nova-T no crashes, neither of Kaffeine nor X session. I let it run for a couple of hours and record a whole movie yesterday - no problems.

Did not change any Kaffeine settings, it just worked.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

Tested in RC + latest updates (in other words: in MGA2).
No problems. I let the application run for 2 or 3 hours at our stand at Linuxtag in Berlin. No problems. Of course I did not run any desktop enhancements.

For me it's solved

Additional info:
At Berlin I lent obgr_seneca a NovaT stick to do further testing.
