Recreated in Mageia 1. After a quick look at the source, and the gwenview_importer, the program must be invoked with the name of a directory as the command line argument. As it's normally started by dolphin or konqueror, I guess they didn't bother with a better error message. $ gwenview_importer unnamed app(9248): Wrong arg count. FIXME $ gwenview_importer Pictures/ works. CC:

davidwhodgins Argh. Meant to type "and the "gwenview_importer --help". I consider the bug report valid, as a low priority issue regarding the poor wording of the error message. What about reporting this issue upstream ? https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=product%3Agwenview Reported as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293009 Thanks Keywords:

UPSTREAM Trying to ping 41 bug reports in one move, because nothing has happened with them for more than 3 months, they still have the status NEW or REOPENED, there is no "OK" on the Whiteboard and severity and priority are "normal" or higher. Is this one still valid for Mageia 2 rc? If it is and you're the assignee, please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead. If it wasn't assigned correctly, please assign back to Bug Squad and explain. still valid. Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja Keywords:

NEEDINFO We have gwenview-4.8.95-1.mga3 in Cauldron now, is this bug still valid for current cauldron? Keywords:

(none) rpm -qa|grep gwenview gwenview-4.9.0-1.mga3 [root@hodgins /]# gwenview_importer X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. Exiting! startkdeinitlock(798)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): KSystemTimeZones: ktimezoned initialize() D-Bus call failed: "Not connected to D-Bus server" startkdeinitlock(798): Wrong arg count. FIXME I chrooted into the cauldron installation, hence the X11/dbus connection failure. Looks like the message hasn't been improved. The upstream bug has been closed with the release of 4.10. I've confirmed that it's fixed in cauldron, with a better error message. Any chance of finding/applying the patch that fixed it to the Mageia 2 version? Sorry, but this bug saw no action since over 2 yrs ago. No cauldron package has stayed the same since then. Closing as OLD Please reopen if this report is still valid for _current_ cauldron and/or fully updated Mageia 4 Status:
