Description of problem: I think it's open for discussion if we could get a new shell to replace dash. If the idea is to seperate distros from eachother & work on their own ways, whouldn't a new shell called Mash be in its place when the official release is out?

Comment 1 Kristoffer Grundström 2011-02-16 02:24:43 CET
Anyone is welcome to close this report, but I still believe that making a new fresh fork until the official release & have new things implemented would make it feel fresh.
Comment 2 Kristoffer Grundström 2011-02-16 02:25:04 CET
So please leave it open for discussion.

Kristoffer, I think this request is not really appropiate for the bug tracker. You provide no reason for this request that would indicate any sort of problem with the existing shell implementation. Changes for the sake of change are not what's going to move things forward for Mageia, not to speak of the many changes to shell scripts this proposed change would result in and questions by users and developers alike.

If you want to discuss this further, the -dev list is probably a more appropiate place for it than this.
