Description Gene Alexander 2012-01-26 18:28:27 CET
The DjView4 release is in Mandriva 2010.1. However, Mandriva's version fails to include the djview4 browser plugin. Magiea should include the plugin so.

Why add DjView4 with the plugin? Several online Genealogy and Academic research sources use DjVu documents to hold data. Even though evince is supposed to be able to open these documents it fails to do so on many of them because the main index documents on these sites are supposed to open in a plugin. Then additional pages are loaded from the site using the index document inside the plugin.

If this cannot be added to Mageia 1 soon, then please add it to Cauldron for Mageia 2. Thank you.

Download for the source is here:

The package is already in cauldron, so assigning to maintainer.

Hi,

it seems like mozilla-plugin-djvu is already supposed to be built, but on the other hand, I am unable to build the package from source due to a Qt breakage. See:

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3496038&group_id=32953&atid=406583

I'll try to find the time to ask people about it, but I have to juggle some other priorities and interests.

Regards,

This message is a reminder that Mageia 1 is nearing its end of life.
In approximately 25 days from now, Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing
updates for Mageia 1. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it
remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '1'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to
fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later
Mageia version prior to Mageia 1's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not
be able to fix it before Mageia 1 is end of life. If you would still like to see
this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia,
you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version
of Mageia.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime,
sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia
release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.

Gene, have you upgraded to Mageia 2 yet? I believe this problem is fixed there.

I have upgraded to Mageia 2. But I have not checked much in the way of bug reports in the past several weeks. A death in my immediate family has changed my perspective on what is important. If it is working for others in Mageia 2 I see no reason to keep this open for Mageia 1.

Gene, I am sorry to hear about the death of your relative.

This seems to work fine on Mageia 2 and on Cauldron, so I'm resolving this bug as fixed. Thanks for the report.
