luigiwalser Since I used to maintain this package in MDV (somewhere in 2003-2004) I imported this into Cauldron. If you want to use it on Mageia 1, you can rebuild the SRPM. Now we just need to make sure this thing works, especially the plugins. Also in need of investigation is whether the additional dependencies added by the auto-dependency-generator during the build are really necessary. Hi David, Damien, Can this package also be built as an update for Mageia 1? That way we can close this report and make Gene happy :-) Priority:

Also, if it's going to ship in 1, and the added dependencies aren't needed, I'd like to address that first too (Comment 3). Re-assigning to David. Thanks for the work. Perhaps you can push it to 'testing' in order to have better feedbacks on the package... Assignee:

luigiwalser I fixed a couple of minor things and verified that the dependencies are legit. squirrelmail-1.4.22-4 is now in Cauldron.

enhancement As I have now transitioned all our end-users to Mageia 2, with the exception of two home PC systems, my need for this in Mageia 1 is moot. I can report that squirrelmail in Mageia 2 is working as it should. If Mageia 1 is going to be EOL on time, backporting this to Mageia 1 may not be necessary at this point. If someone still needs it in Mageia 1 then s/he needs to speak up I think. Otherwise, I believe this bug can be closed. Since you are the reporter I will close it thanks. Status:

sander.lepik Sander, I started a new bug report for squirrelmail here: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6534 That shows one problem I found today doing a fresh install for another client. If you know of other problems you should probably start other reports for those as well. This bug, being for adding squirrelmail to Mageia 1, is probably not a good place for reporting bugs with the squirrelmail RPM. Like I said above, "If someone still needs it in Mageia 1 then s/he needs to speak up I think." ;) |
