I am not sure but i think that after the update of kdelibs4 i dont have the places view in the open file dialog. I can call it with f9 but after opening the dialog a next time the places view is not appear

there's nothing affecting this option with the last kdelibs4 update so either it was available before, or it's introduce by something else (& could be a side effect of all firefox update)
Could you provide a screenshot ?

i downgraded to kdelibs4-core-4.6.5-1.5.mga1 and the problem was fixed. I updated again to kdelibs4-core-4.6.5-1.6.mga1 and i dont nt have the problem any more.
