Description of problem:

this is a long time problem, ppp0  (ppp over ethernet) interface havent't never recognised by draknet. can fix this issue? thanks

I stumbled over this recently too, as I was using a simple DSL modem:

the ppp connections are nowhere shown up for management via GUI, like a WLAN or Ethernet connection,

especially connect/disconnect features are missing (very much needed to reset the connection when the DSL link got lost for a short time, as else it takes quite long for ppp to detect and reestablish the connection. also for connections that are billed by time manual control (ala ifup, ifdown) is very much required.

a similar GUI is already available for 3G ppp connections

this bug exists since at least mandriva 9.2, i think it will keep us company still for a long time...

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

i changed it to enhancement

as it most likely needs "enhancing" the drakx-net GUI a bit.

actually there should somewhere be a list of all configured ppp(oE) connections to choose from like present for WLAN network selection...

Sorry, but this bug saw no action since more than 2 yrs ago. 
No cauldron package has stayed the same since then.
