In Gnome 3 and KDE

For me that would be Gnome 3. Others have reported
this in KDE.

One of the more recent updates to the LibreOffice Suite
has deleted the desktop LibreOffice icons. Even the
icon in the Favorites column. Icon as been replaced
with a blank square that actually works just fine.

Todays update appears to have solved this problem.

I have changed status to resolved/fixed.
