The problem is known (at least I know it). You propably have to wait until new lilypond gets build against new guile-2.0 and it gets "right" requirements (and we can get rid of old guile1.8)..

Currently lilypond requires:
* new guile (2.0.3) which conflicts with old guile1.8
* libs from old guile1.8 which can't be installed as they conflicts with new guile libs which are required by new guile which is required by lilypond itself.

So lilypond can't be installed right now.

One temporary solution is to build current lilypond with guile1.8 deps, but then one can't have any pkgs installed which requires new guile as new and old guile can't coexist (currently).

New lilypond is now build with old guile and it should be possible to install it.

But like I said in previous post, old guile conflicts with new one so if you install lilypond, it asks to remove new guile and pkgs depending it (if there's such pkgs installed). I'm looking how to fix lilypond build with new guile..

Thanks for the answer. I'll wait for new build of lilypond.

Seems now OK with lilypond-2.15.23-1.mga2.i586

Thanks !

So Lilypond can now be installed, but not with guile-2.0. Then should we close this bug?

The Scheme runtime has been split off the main package. Applications that require different Guile versions are now parallel installable, for example, Lilypond + Anjuta. Enjoy! :)
