NEEDINFO If I understand the list correctly, it is locale => keyboardvariant:weight keyboardvariant2:weight2 Although it is unclear to me at first sight where the weight is used (if at all) In any case - your patch lists "de" twice with different weights, but should just swap de with de_nodeadkeys: - 'de' => 'de_nodeadkeys:70 de:50 be:50 ch_de:50', + 'de' => 'de:70 de_nodeadkeys:50 be:50 ch_de:50', Not sure whether the "needmoreinfo" was meant for me, the reporter - assuming so and removing it. NEEDINFO Yes - boot to live-iso and wait a little at the language selection prompt for the vts to be setup. Switch to vt2, login as root, change keyboard.pm, switch back to language selection, accept licenseã& choose timezone, then on the keyboard-layout selection dialog the deadkeys variant is preselected, accept, boot into gnome â keyboard works as expected. Thanks for the testing. Fixed in GIT Status:

RESOLVED not sure why Thierry added back the NEEDMOREINFO keyword without actually asking for more info - assuming a mistake and removing it again. and answering to AL13N: No, this is not similar to bug#3316 - it is only about the initial selection done when installing Mageia. Only if the non-graphical terminals would have the wrong layout, then there might be something wrong with the keyboard-setup. If it is only KDE, then it is KDE that overrides the keyboard/uses an input method that conflicts with the default layout. (I for example use engish and german keyboard layouts that I configured using Gnome's keyboard settings, and additionally ibus with anthy.) Keywords:
