Was this the first time you installed that printer?

Because I heard lots of stories about devices from different brands coming from the same factory and being clones, I tried to find out whether some brother and epson printers are clones, too, but I didn't find anything.

Normally if you install the drivers from brother the printer is already setup, no need to add a new printer. I know this because my parents own a DCP-195C, and to me an epson driver was never suggested.
You're sure you installed the right driver? In which order did you install them?
Otherwise there's nothing we can do about the drivers supplied by Brother.

@Marja: Epson and Brother are definitely no clones. There are such things like Dell printers, which are Lexmark printers or have HP printing units, but the big brands like Brother, Canon, Epson and HP all make unique models.

If i delete the printer ( you are right it is recognized automatically the first time) after i try to install it and it recognized as epson:

Of course once i did this step there is no problem at all.
