I fear the window won't fit anymore and will needs a scrollbar :-(

I would rather add LXDE & XFCE to the previous step (choice of the desktop) in a square choice (LXDE, XFCE, GNOME, KDE)

I'd like to put in a vote for this as well. I suspect there will be a number of people like me who don't want to use GNOME 3, and turn to XFCE as the best replacement for GNOME 2.

Just having it as an option in the "Other Desktops" category would be sufficient for me. As far as I can tell, there is no way to select it when installing from the Mageia 2 alpha 2 DVD.

yep, but thierry is right, maybe there is not enought place.

I can try with my local mirror (only one file is to modify iirc)

I may not have been quite clear. If you check the "Select individual packages" box and then go on to the next screen, you still don't have the option to select task-xfce-minimal (or any other xfce packages), even though they exist on the DVD. Or if you do, I couldn't find them!

It won't be there until it's described in compssUsers.pl (meta-task)

for the future:

151 	flags => [ qw(GRAPHICAL_DESKTOP X ACCESSIBILITY E17 XFCE) ], 

works fine with using my local mirror, and there is no side effect

Summary: s/E17/XFCE in compssUsers.pl (was: DVDs, add a checkbox for install task-xfce(minimal) ) => add XFCE in compssUsers.pl

FWIW: When installing on a small screen (or a vbox VM) there is already a scrollbar on this page.

It's a regression of the theme (Oxygen) that will be fixed

What's the real status of this bug?

Could someone summarize what must be done to allow users to install Xfce from installer? Maybe I/someone can make the needed changes after the next alpha is released..

Install a base system, configure your mirror, and do "urpmi task-xfce" (or task-xfce-minimal).

quick fix, no regression, but not very users friendly, see comment 10.
