ASSIGNED Thomas, Anne, I see this requires in the .spec file, depending on the setting of the %bootstrap variable. Now, I can easily set it to always have the needed dependency in, but before I do that, I hope to understand the idea / concept behind the bootstrapping code. What is it supposed to do? CC:

ennael1 the bootstrapping is needed to be able to break circular deps. ( like, i suspect that spamassasin-rules requires spamassassin to be built, but if spamassassin need the rules to be install, none can be installed if we rebuild from scratch ). CC:

misc Has this been completed? I remember seeing something like it was don. (In reply to comment #4) > Has this been completed? > I remember seeing something like it was don. Yes. With the version currently in updates testing ... spamassassin-3.3.2-1.2.mga1.i586 (due to unsatisfied spamassassin-rules[>= 3.3.2]) The requires has been added, but the new version of the rules that is now required isn't available yet. See bug 3814 CC:

davidwhodgins Hi Thomas, This is fixed in Cauldron. For the version in 1, both spamassassin and spamassassin-rules have to be rebuild and I'm awaiting submission to the build system. Thank you for your patience. Hi, With Mageia 2 there are 3 packages automaticaly selected when you want to install spamassassin: - spamassassin - spamassassin-rules - perl-Mail-SpamAssassin I propose to close this bug report CC:
