Description Jacques Pronchery 2011-12-11 15:28:19 CET
When I install Cheese without environnement Gnome or KDE,
it say a gstreamer element is missing : videobalance.
If I install gstreamer_plugin-good it works.

Hoped automatic dependencies resolved this, too bad it doesn't.

Added a new require. Thanks for reporting!

I get a similar problem, but I do not find depedency which can solve it.
When I launch Cheese in a console, Cheese shows an error in the place of the screen for the video.
** CRITICAL **: cheese_camera_create_effects_preview_bin: assertion `error == NULL || *error == NULL' failed

** WARNING **: cheese-window.vala:1624: Error: Un ou plusieurs éléments GStreamer sont manquants : vp8enc.

Vp8enc fails.

With beta1 and update.
