NEEDINFO This is still valid indeed. The b43 package still needs to do a manual firmware cutting. And it might be non trivial for beginners.

What do you mean? broadcom-wl is a proprietary driver that comes with its own firmware... Rosa and Mandriva haves b43-firmware-install, that autodownload the needed firmware.
