can you *paste* the output of dmidecode and /var/log/Xorg.0.log(.old) with glxinfo installed ?

can you reproduce it ? is yes how ?
I can't reproduce it. It happens with no particular reason. It's stable and unfortunately slides down. Starting slow and later speed increases. Maybe it was fixed with recent updates. I'm using the box for about 15 min and it didn't happen yet. I'm gonna attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log(.old). It looks like I can't to do anything on box. Terminal window drops me to bash and I can't start anything that requires root password. Created attachment 1192 [details]

(none) I honestly have no idea how to investigate/resolve this bug :-( It looks more like a x11 driver problem than a gnome one Is x11-driver-input-synaptics installed? CC:

NEEDINFO For some reason I had to install Windows on the same box. Once in a while mouse pointer just disappear. It looks like Touch Pad problem. Thanks for the feed back, Palm :) Closing Status:

RESOLVED There could also have been a kernel issue, fixed in RC4: Anyway, if you are using wireless networking, have a modern CPU that you cripple by running in 32-bit mode, and have seen odd FP-related crashes with (the usual symptoms seem to be flash problems in the browser or *the mouse in X suddenly moving to a corner* or similar, but anything goes, really), that might be due to this.
