I think you miss the non-free media : this driver needs a firmware. Try adding it and installing kernel-firmware. CC:

NEEDINFO I downloaded kernel-firmware with an other OS (same PC ans same connection) and installed it, but that doesn't make any differences. Please attach dmesg. Created attachment 1215 [details]

The hardware does not seems to have any problem. Now that Alpha 2 is coming, please test with the new medias to ensure the problem is still there. It works with Mageia2 alpha2 Congratulations ! closing, so Status:
