Sorry, but I still experience this bug (with latest kernel and updates) It can be very annoying in final, so I increase the severity to critical. Severity:
major =>
critical I have edited /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/usb-autosuspend.conf With CONTROL_USB_AUTOSUSPEND=0 in order to let my USB device work without power. It was set to "auto" before. I don't know if it is a bug of a feature, but my bug is now resolved. Closing Status:

kernel When the mouse no longer work, does clicking help (in case you only tried moving it)? CC:

pterjan I found http://code.google.com/p/chromium-os/issues/detail?id=4534 where they decided to not autosuspend input devices as too many behave badly I set the "default" parameter again and when clicking on the mouse it works again. Since it is an optical mouse, moving it when unpowered might does not have any effect ... I don't know if it is wise to keep this "click-to-wake-up" behaviour : it can make some troubles. (In reply to comment #6) [...] > I don't know if it is wise to keep this "click-to-wake-up" behaviour : it can > make some troubles. Maybe; but it indeed saves some power, right? Ok, bad news from laptop-mode front : When I click to power the mouse, the red LED starts glowing but it is not functionnal. So my mouse is unusable ... I added a patch to disable autosuspend for input devices Status:
