Description of problem:

Amsn Closes while changing the Show image... This this doesn't happen all the time but it does while trying to show a whink. Running amsn on konsole I get an error:

Unable to open mixer /dev/mixer
Segment Violation

Googling around I found a message saying that amsn is not compatible with tcl8.5 only tcl8.4. Could this be the problem?.


I am using Mageia 2 Cauldron Alpha 1.

How reproducible:

Just open amsn, try to change your image many times or show a wink.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open amsn
2. Change your image show
3. Repeate step 2 and you'll get the error anytime..

I am using Mageia 2 Cauldron Alpha 1.

Hi,

I still have the same problem in many computers.. I just cannot change the picture since aMSN closes in an instant.

Trying to ping 41 bug reports in one move, because nothing has happened with them for more than 3 months, they still have the status NEW or REOPENED, there is no "OK" on the Whiteboard and severity and priority are "normal" or higher.

Is this one still valid for Mageia 2 rc?

If it is and you're the assignee, please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.
If it wasn't assigned correctly, please assign back to Bug Squad and explain.

To be honest I have not used amsn for a while since this bug caused me a lot of problems with many computer when trying to change my picture. It did't happen at first but after doing some changes like adding winks and many pictures. Let me try it again on a new instalation and test it for two days.  At least until monday PST.  Gracias.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Hello, I have tried amsn for the last 2 weeks and I haven't seen any problems as I reported them. I guess you can close this bug report for now.
