Description of problem: As you may know there are many kernels in the repo & I believe that you should be asked by the installer if this is a Desktop/Laptop/Netbook/Server/Mac-installation in stage 1 before the net-interface has been activated. When you choose Desktop-installation you'll install the desktop-kernel & for laptop-installation..........

You get my point, hopefully.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Burn the iso to a USB-key or a CD/DVD using any way that suits you.
2. Boot it during reboot.
3. Now you should get a question about whether this is a Desktop/Laptop/Netbook/Server/Mac-installation that might look like this:

Hi Kristoffer,

Thank you for your report. The installation procedure should pick the optimal kernel automatically based on the hardware detected on your machine. Should it pick the wrong one (wrong defined as: a selection resulting in strongly detoriated performance or non support of essential features), then a bug report to that effect can be opened.
