Description Derek Jennings 2011-11-23 15:23:38 CET
Description of problem:
KDE Device notifier reports the presence of uPNP storage media, but repeats the notification every time the uPNP device announces itself.

This will quickly become annoying to users.
Better to not announce uPNP devices at all IMO since even the first announcement on logging in could be annoying if there are several uPNP devices on the network.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kdebase4-workspace-4.7.3-4.mga2

How reproducible:
In my case I have a mythTV server on the network which announces itself every few minutes.
Just start KDE and wait.

Hi, thanks for reporting this bug.
Assigned to the package maintainer.

(Maybe it's more an upstream bug)

It's more an upstream bug here however i'll close it as fixed since i'll remove the hupnp support in kdelibs since i'm not able to solve #3425 (kio-upnp-ms does not build & i don't have enough time to dig it futher.)
