In a fresh cauldron install, most of the sysrq key sequences now result in a message saying that this sysrq function is disabled.

This started happening many years ago, and was supposedly a deliberate change done to prevent inexperienced users from using them accidentally.  Hue and cry was raised, and the "feature" was quickly reverted and has stayed reverted until now.  I have no idea how this got reintroduced, and I seem to remember that it was easily fixed manually for each boot by resetting something in /proc (I can't remember what).

Please revert this to the historical behavior.

This goes back to 2012, M2 (bug 6842)! The probable bug Frank mentions is bug 10473 2013/14 Mageia 4.
Having not seen Sysrq mentioned before, it would be nice to either say where its use is documented; or summarise that use here for the benefit of others. Combined with Alt seems common.
