Happened again, now with linus 6.6.28. This time i was briefly away from the laptop and when i returned i clicked an open application window and the screen went totally black except for mouse arrow which was moveable. Used REISUB to bring it down. Created attachment 14532 [details] journal telling the problem On my laptop Thinkpad T510 the screen freeze occasionally. I can work for several hours, including suspend-resume, then suddenly, I think usually when I change between open applications, the desktop visually freezes - only mouse pointer visually works. ctrl-alt-F4 etc do not visually switch screen. I bring it down cleanly (minus lost work in open app) using REISUB. Relevant part of journal attached. It was running desktop kernel but I have now switched to linus kernel to see if it seem to work better or worse.
