Log of the update
Real Hardware Mageia 9 x86_64
79 packages updated without issues, testing Plasma X11
Look good for now
Real Hardware Mageia 9 x86_64 Testing Plasma Wayland Play video with smplayer using mpv smplayer -> options -> Waylad compatibility not works (the video not play only sound) I have to disable that option and then the video open in new window with mpv, I don't know if this issue was present before the update, I not use this session frequently Other things of regular use YT in firefox, open/edit files look good I feel an improvement in dolphin in X11 and Wayland, even a remote sshfs system open more quick Other thing that I don't know if it is normal or was present before the update is Wayland session is opened in tty2 while tty1 still have sddm I get lot of this in journal plasmashell[688214]: error creating screencast "Failed to connect PipeWire context" Need to check if that is valid also for X11 session Created attachment 14419 [details]

fri Thanks to both of you for trying this monster. @Nicolas Massive work - félicitations! Are these pks in core/updates_testing? If so, this bug should be assigned to QA; I hesitate to do that unilaterally. @lewis: rewards goes to david :-) Yes this is updates_testing.

advisory (In reply to katnatek from comment #3) > Real Hardware Mageia 9 x86_64 > Testing Plasma Wayland > > Play video with smplayer using mpv > smplayer -> options -> Waylad compatibility not works (the video not play > only sound) I have to disable that option and then the video open in new > window with mpv, I don't know if this issue was present before the update, I > not use this session frequently > Find a workaround for the video issue here https://github.com/smplayer-dev/smplayer/issues/6 QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb smplayer I will test if update smplayer and/or mpv is needed to avoid this mga9, x64 Installed all the packages but there seemed to be a couple maybe mis-labelled. Not sure if I got it right but the rest installed cleanly. aura-browser does not appear in the menus or at least I could not find it. $ aura-browser QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component qrc:/qml/main.qml:21:1: module "QtQuick.VirtualKeyboard.Settings" is not installed qrc:/qml/main.qml:20:1: module "QtQuick.VirtualKeyboard" is not installed qrc:/qml/main.qml:21:1: module "QtQuick.VirtualKeyboard.Settings" is not installed qrc:/qml/main.qml:20:1: module "QtQuick.VirtualKeyboard" is not installed The testing version of kodi still fails. Bluetooth had already been set up in Mate using blueman so I am reluctant to try bluedevil. Maybe later. Audio via bluetooth works anyway. mplayer, smplayer, mpv, vlc all work with video+audio. Logged out to see if there was a Wayland option - no. Tried Big Screen and regretted it. Not for desktops. Had to bring up a console (Ctrl-Alt_F2) to delete the session, which brought back the login screen. Used the filemanager to access an external spinning rust drive. Browsed family photographs - gwenview by default. Celestia launched OK but celestia qt just made a rude noise. Visited New York Times in falkon. Played with gimp and wallpapers. No weather widget available and I could not find the workspace switcher. CC:

tarazed25 MGA9-64 Plasma, i5-7500, Nvidia Quadro K620 graphics. I used qarepo to install the existing packages, with no issues. Rebooted to a working desktop, with the Network Manager applet working, as well as the nm-openvpn applet. Checked out several of the settings in systemsettings. The system monitor looks good. Kmenuedit looks operational, though I did not actually do any editing. Info Center is good. I have been using this for two days now, with no ill effects. Looks good to me. CC:

32888 Advisory has been updated with plasma-nm-5.27.10-1.2.mga9 (In reply to Marja Van Waes from comment #11) > Advisory has been updated with plasma-nm-5.27.10-1.2.mga9 The SRPM, that is. (In reply to Len Lawrence from comment #9) > mga9, x64 > Installed all the packages but there seemed to be a couple maybe > mis-labelled. I updated the existing packages on my HP Pavilion 15, and they all checked out OK. Then I installed aura-browser, which didn't draw in any dependencies, with no apparent issues. But, when I looked for it in the menu it wasn't there, anywhere, even after a reboot. The file list in MCC shows a .desktop icon, so it seems to me that it should be there. And when run from the command line I get the same messages as Len, so at the very least there is a missing dependency here. lib64kscreen-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository lib64ksysguard-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-fortisslvpnui-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-l2tp-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-libreswan-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-openconnect-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-openvpn-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-pptp-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-ssh-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-strongswan-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository plasma-applet-nm-vpnc-5.27.10-1.mga9 not found in the remote repository CC:

(I have no idea why these are different, but they are.) The rest were changed in bug 32888. See comment 12. The x86_64 list in the attachment will work in qarepo, if the "fuzzy version" feature is active to allow for the changes in comment 12. (In reply to David GEIGER from comment #16) > For aura-browser if you install qtvirtualkeyboard5 does it work now? I don't have the needed hardware for it(some kind of remote control), but it does run now, and didn't crash. Didn't do anything with the mouse but beep once in a while. Lots of messages in the terminal, including one that "module "QtWebSockets" is not installed" and that it "Failed to find a Kirigami platform plugin". I have no idea if the above messages indicate more dependencies, or if it's just that I don't have the right controller. (In reply to David GEIGER from comment #16) aura-browser does seem to work but I saw the same messages as Thomas. $ lscpu
