You indicate that duplex printing used to work on these printers, useful to know. I have noted this speculatively as HPLIP, but could it be CUPS? Do we know whether duplex printing works anywhere today? Assigning globally as different packagers update HPLIP. Source RPM:

fri And now today, the Deskjet 5450 is working normally. I don't know what changed, except that I shut the computer off at night every night, and have it set to reboot to a clean session every time I boot. Maybe something reset itself. Sigh. Excuse me while I go bash my head against the wall... |
