Cauldron Is provided as qttools6 @ katnatek Indeed but that was not easy to guess :) Thanks anyway! Nevertheless, I asked for this because I miss the qt6_add_lupdate command: CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:114 (qt6_add_lupdate): Unknown CMake command "qt6_add_lupdate". and, from https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtlinguist-cmake-qt-add-lupdate.html, I guessed it would be provided by qt6-linguist. But AFAICS, installing qt6-linguist by installing qttools6 is not enough (still the same error). Should I open a new bug report? Well discovered katnatek - it was not easy. I do not see how users would discover it. Very obscure: Name : qttools6 Summary : Qt6 GUI toolkit Description : Qt6 GUI tools Rpmdrake shows for 'linguist' qt4-linguist as a package (& nothing else). Name : qt4-linguist Summary : Qt4 linguist translation utility Description : Qt4 Linguist provides easy translation of Qt GUIs to different languages. It is not rational to not show the qt6 equivalent. Can we change something? CC'ing papoteur for an opinion; he knows something of Qt. CC:

lewyssmith (In reply to Denis Bitouzé from comment #2) > Nevertheless, I asked for this because I miss the qt6_add_lupdate command: I cannot find this command buried anywhere in our repositories: $ urpmf qt6_add_lupdate $ urpmf is good at finding things, so maybe we simply do not have it. From the site URL you give: "qt_add_lupdate Add targets to generate or update Qt Linguist .ts files. The command is defined in the LinguistTools component of the Qt6 package." So searching for that: $ urpmf Qt6LinguistTools returns 11 results, all in pkg 'lib64qt6help-devel', all but 1 with paths like: /usr/lib64/cmake/Qt6LinguistTools/Qt6LinguistToolsxxx.cmake The first, different, may accord with Denis' interest: /usr/lib64/cmake/Qt6LinguistTools/GenerateLUpdateProject.cmake Do not raise a new bug yet, maybe this one can be re-phrased. (In reply to Denis Bitouzé from comment #2) > @ katnatek Indeed but that was not easy to guess :) Thanks anyway! > I made time ago a bug report for qt5-linguist and I was pointed to qt5tools ;) > Nevertheless, I asked for this because I miss the qt6_add_lupdate command: > > CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:114 (qt6_add_lupdate): > Unknown CMake command "qt6_add_lupdate". > > and, from https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtlinguist-cmake-qt-add-lupdate.html, I > guessed it would be provided by qt6-linguist. I find references to that command here https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtlinguist-cmake-qt-add-lupdate.html, but not find a distro with that file Maybe you need lib64qt6help-devel for 64b or libqt6help-devel for 32bit @Lewis Smith Installing lib64qt6help-devel did the trick, thanks! :) I can add in qttools5 pkg: "Provides: qt5-linguist" and same for qttools6: "Provides: qt6-linguist" in a next rebuild. Thank you, David, I change the title of the report, I hope is a good one Thank you all who contributed. Resolution:

FIXED (In reply to Lewis Smith from comment #9) > Thank you all who contributed. It is not necessary to wait until David notify that the change is done to close this bug? Done for both qttools5 and qttools6 on Cauldron and packages submitted! (In reply to David GEIGER from comment #11) > Done for both qttools5 and qttools6 on Cauldron and packages submitted! Will this be done in Mageia 9? Nop! not crucial for mga9. But I'll commit the change in svn so that if there were to be an update in future the fix will be included. |
