Description of problem:

 this openCPN plugin has been improved since opencpn-8.2.4 was packaged

this new version is updates_testing

Updated package in /core/updates_testings

opencpn-polar-plugin-1.2.30.0-1.mga9 for each arch

from SRPM 
opencpn-polar-plugin-1.2.30.0-1.mga9.src.rpm

This package needs to be tested on the opencpn version from core/updates
(opencpn-5.8.4-2)

But thanks yet again for your sterling work on this application.
And yes, a bit late, it would have been better to bundles all these updates in one bug. But carry on as-is.

to test it you simply have to verify that the update is done without any problem

Then click on its icon inside the icons bar

You can create the polar diagram of your own boat

or use an already existing polar
I will attach one if you want to display it (the polar of a Sun Odyssey 45 
(a wonderful boat I rented in 2022)

Stored the example polar file from Philippe.

After a clean update opencpn launched with a Polar entry in the plugins list.  Enabled it and updated the tool bar.
Was able to display the polar file and remove it from the screen. 
OK for this one.
