Description of problem:

Free Pascal distributed with Mageia is extremely old. It is FPC 2.4.0 even while when Mageia was released 2.4.4 was the standard one for production. FPC 2.4.0 cannot even build the latest svn Lazarus, for that 2.4.2+ is required. Please update FPC to 2.4.4

Version 2.4.4-1.mga2 is in cauldron, so at least that version is expected to be in Mageia 2 stable

fpc is now in 2.6.0 in Cauldron.
