fri yes This is strange, I can use the right click actions without issue Is suggested a default "Open with" when you right click over the files? No menu appears. The problem also exists with Krusader. This problem may occur when kio related packages got updated but the computer was not properly restarted. - is this a clean MGA9 installation or an upgrade from MGA8 to MGA9? - when did this problem first occur? After a package update? Are you able to pin the updated packages down when it first occured? - did you restart your computer? - is your system up to date? da a "urpmi --auto-update --auto --force". Make sure that you are using an up to date mirror (https://mirrors.mageia.org/status) - ... Hello Mr. Vogel ! (In reply to sturmvogel from comment #6) > This problem may occur when kio related packages got updated but the > computer was not properly restarted. > - is this a clean MGA9 installation or an upgrade from MGA8 to MGA9? ----> It was an upgrade via USB with online repos on > - when did this problem first occur? After a package update? ---> Right after the upgrade with an urpmi auto update afterwards where additional packages were updated. > - Are you able to pin the updated packages down when it first occured? ---> lol > - did you restart your computer? ---> All restarts were performed as aked for > - is your system up to date? da a "urpmi --auto-update --auto --force". Make sure that you are using an up to date mirror (https://mirrors.mageia.org/status) ---> Yes to all. daviddavid told me some years ago that we can assign bugs in KDE/Plasma to KDE team, without trying to find the cause of the issue. Doing so now. Assignee:

Thanks very much. Thank you for reporting back. --- FYI: The task-plasma5-minimal package make sure every bit needed for the desktop is installed :) Similar for other task-* packages. i.e task-printing. They may get removed if you uninstall a package i.e belonging to the desktop. Resolution:

But all are recommends, the core stuff of each desktop should be marked as requires, so the user get alerted when uninstall by mistake one of that core things But why do i need to download 700 mb just to popping off one file ? Please open a bug for discussion, or use i.e dev list. --- (In reply to Holger Mainz from comment #19) > But why do i need to download 700 mb just to popping off one file ? The desktop is like a puzzle of many parts. The task-plasma5-minimal makes sure you have all parts needed for all common usage. Yes there are many, and probably not needed for just this task. But the dependencies between parts is complicated, and usually you do not hand pick - that is not supported. If you want smaller install footprint, you should go for another desktop.
