forrestw @ Forrest Do you maybe have time to become a Mageia packager? You could then import those packages (if the licenses are OK) and be their maintainer :D Setting version to cauldron, because package requests will usually be done for cauldron first and are then expected to be available in the first stable release that follows. Do you have suitable hardware for testing in Cauldron when it is needed? Most of my amateur gear is 1980 vintage ;) --... ...-- CC:

We now have in Mageia Cauldron the following:- xlog - Logging program for Amateur Radio Operators grig - A Ham Radio Control graphical user interface cutecw - Morse Code Training Software - Excellent program ! hamlib - Programming interface for amateur radio equipment I have tested what I can without the necessary hardware, so please test (in a Cauldron installation) and report any issues. Thanks. Since the list linked in the OP is extensive, we need some feedback from potential users on which software to give priority, please comment in this bug report. Keywords:

Could you please try to install cauldron (maybe you have some spare room on your HD to install it next to Mageia 1) and test Barry's packages, so that any problems can be found and targeted? That way you'd help to get good working ham radio software in Mageia 2 stable @ Forrest You didn't reply to the questions in comment 3 and 4. I think you are pleased with the packages Barry imported so far and you don't need more packages, so I'm closing this request as fixed. Feel free to reopen and give (some of) the requested feedback if you disagree. If more packages should be imported, then please make a tracker of this bug report and open separate bug reports for each other related package request, and set each of them to block this one.
