Name : carla Summary : An audio plugin host Description : Carla is an audio plugin host, with support for many audio drivers and plugin formats. Name : qjackctl Summary : A QT GUI for the jack audio daemon Thank you for the report. Trying this out, it does not look necessary to run QJackCtl to see the problem. Can we take it that your complaint is basically about the differences between the list from Mageia 7 and that displayed by Mageia 9 Carla? There are differences both ways: things previously present which are no longer (your complaint); and things now present which used not to be. It is going to take a little time to identify the vanished effects - you note some - and research where they might be found. If they can be. CC:

lewyssmith Hi,
when I look into the source tarball
carla-2.5.5.tar.gz
at least the zyn-related entries are there. See, for instance
./source/frontend/carla_skin.py
So, either one the patches includes are preventing rpmbuild from compiling them, or there's something messed up in the spec.
Thanks for fixing!

Thanks for investigating further. No registered maintainer, so assigning to all packagers collectively. Also CC'ing the packager who last updated Carla. Assignee:

Tried to follow the Description: qjackctl opens the GUI but immediately gives the message stopped as there is no jack-server here. Nevertheless (as indicated in Comment 1) I can open Carla and get a list similar to the image provided in the Description, so this issue seems to be solved. Whiteboard:

FIXED In Zyn-Chorus (first setting) the output volume goes down the more you increase "wet" amount. This looks as if something is wrong with the algorithm. "Wet" means, add the output of the algorithm to the dry signal. Whereas the algorithm's output seems to be exactly like the input signal, but with negative signum. So signal sum decreases with no chorus effect (stereo-widening) Resolution:
