fri MGA9-64 Plasma system i5-2500, Intel graphics. No installation issues. After the reboot, checked on the status of the fstrim.timer, which "trims" my ssd once a week:
[root@localhost ~]# systemctl status fstrim.timer
○ fstrim.timer - Discard unused blocks once a week
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/fstrim.timer; disabled; preset: disabled)
Active: inactive (dead)
Trigger: n/a
Triggers: ● fstrim.service
Docs: man:fstrim
[root@localhost ~]# systemctl enable fstrim.timer
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/timers.target.wants/fstrim.timer → /usr/lib/systemd/system/fstrim.timer.
[root@localhost ~]# systemctl start fstrim.timer
[root@localhost ~]# systemctl status fstrim.timer
● fstrim.timer - Discard unused blocks once a week
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/fstrim.timer; enabled; preset: disabled)
Active: active (waiting) since Mon 2023-10-02 20:28:01 EDT; 21s ago
Trigger: Mon 2023-10-09 00:37:07 EDT; 6 days left
Triggers: ● fstrim.service
Docs: man:fstrim
Oct 02 20:28:01 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: Started fstrim.timer.
Also, MGA9-32 on Foolishness. my Dell Inspiron 5100, P4, Radeon RV200 graphics, with and ssd in an IDE adapter in place of the hard drive:
No installation issues. Performed the same tests. Results were similar, except that the fstrim.timer had already been enabled.
Looks good on both arches. OKing, and Validating. TMB said "Advisory will follow" but all I see is a changelog reference in comment 1.Whiteboard:
