Description Morgan Leijström 2023-07-18 23:19:47 CEST
Description of problem:
Resume fail = user loose work

System was perfectly suspending-resuming in Mageia 8.

After upgrade to current cauldron, it fail to resume to Plasma:
Black screen with moving cursor, i can ctrl-alt-f3 to terminal.
ctrl-alt-backspace*2 and i am at login, but logging in makes it freeze with empty desktop, ctrl-alt-f3 do not work, no mouse cursor, REISUB works.

   Bad:
kernel-desktop-6.4.3-1.mga9
kernel-desktop-6.3.9-1.1.mga9 (from http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/mageia.org/people/tmb/Cauldron/bugs/32037/)

   OK (tested now on mga9):
kernel-desktop-5.15.117-2.mga8-1-1.mga8
kernel-desktop-6.1.38-3.mga8-1-1.mga8

GPU: G84GLM [Quadro FX 1600M], driver = nouveau
Comment 1 Morgan Leijström 2023-07-20 14:15:06 CEST
Also broken with with 6.4.4-desktop-1.mga9

Sorry I forgot to maintain this bug, while I feedbacked other ways.

Suspend-resume have been working for months using mga9 kernels from update.

Additionally, I now also tested hibernate-resume works, using kernel-desktop-6.6.14-1.mga9, as well as the linus variant.

Thanks :)
