Can you say *where* this missing translation of 'Desktop' shows, the other home directories being translated. For example, in file managers; or from
$ lsCC:

lewyssmith If I open Dolphin and go to home I see the names below, sames on konsole. Dolphin also links to those folders on home. Desktop Documentos Imágenes Música Vídeo I think you are right, Morgan. That goes back to at least Mageia 6, and looks to be a permanent problem. It seems to hang on the fact that if any of the $HOME directories are not empty, they do not get renamed locally. I thought ~/Desktop always had something in it (basic desktop icons), but apparently not. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 23929 *** Resolution:
