Description of problem: F3D - Fast and minimalist 3D viewer is a free 3D viewer based on VTK library. It was initially developed by Kitware and is now community driven.

It's a good addition to Mageia for science/engineering, 3D modelling and animation and video game development. 

It's a good tool to quickly view 3D pictures and animations.

It fails to build on Mageia Cauldron.

Thank you for your suggestion, though we are exceedingly busy at present with Mageia 9.

Look on the RH side of the page note above: it fails to build on many platforms - including Debian 11. It looks as if it only builds for x64, not x32. Of several xUbuntu versions, it only flies with the most recent.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.
