There is only one version difference between what we have (2020.3.17) and what Ami wants (2020.3.18, in Cauldron). But he must have a good reason for asking.

Simgear, flightgear and flightgear-data bug fix release 2020.3.18 landing in updates_testing for mga8.

To test, install them, and, in a terminal enter:

fgfs --launcher

Play around. If you want to fly a plane, don't forget to allow "enabling terrasync", which downloads the scenery where you start. If you don't, you'll be in water.

No installation issues.
This laptop is rather unresponsive to the controls of flightgear, and trying to open a tutorial and run flightgear at the same time makes it even worse.
All I managed to do was open it up, select a plane, select an airport, have thre engine run and increase its revs, and then after a while I herad a crashing sound, must have hit something.
Leaving to others to OK this.

mga8-64 Plasma. Updated previous version with no issues.

As usual, I am able to autostart the Cessna, increase the throttle, and taxi around and through other aircraft and buildings. It's a wonder I'm not banned from the airport, but at least the Cessna and airport are restored if I quit and run it again.
