Unsure whether the fault is an invalid mime type in (see comment 0): /usr/share/applications/thunderbird-compose.desktop [bug with Thunderbird] or That this mime type is valid, bug with update-desktop-database. thunderbird-compose-1.0-2.mga9.src.rpm The thunderbird-composer can be used to do a right click on a file and open with this application which opens the composer window of thunderbird and add the selected file(s) in attachments. So, it matches all files. The all/allfiles is a mime type used by desktops for all files (and all/all for files and folders) but it is not registered so it has to be changed I will change to: -MimeType=all/allfiles +MimeType=application/octet-stream a similar case: https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/f1ce22124ce7dd630b8e909b4c50f90f035166d5 Thanks for report this Version 1.1 in Cauldron updates_testing Version 1.1 moved to Cauldron release repo Ricard can you test ? Description of problem: MAGEIA 9 BETA 1 hello everyone; I was registering a program with the "update-desktop-database" command and it showed me the following error "Error in file "/usr/share/applications/thunderbird-compose.desktop": "all/allfiles" is an invalid MIME type ("all" is an unregistered media type) " I have reviewed the file "cat /usr/share/applications/thunderbird-compose.desktop" and it has shown me [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Name=Thunderbird Compose Icon=thunderbird Exec=thunderbird-compose %F Type=Application Categories=Network;News;Email;X-Mageia-CrossDesktop; MimeType=all/allfiles I have not had appreciable errors with thunderbird so I give it as a minor error
