Which version of xulrunner packages is installed on your system ? CC:

boklm I saw the same thing, but *just* with web pages in Flash. I think you report this bug upstream at mozilla or adobe. :) Firefox 7.0.1 works fine here, also with Flash pages. Not unstable, not freezing, not 100% cpu and not killing itself. Maybe this is due to your plugins or problems with your profile? FWIW you can check memory usage and possible leaks with about:memory. And before reporting such things upstream you need to check back with a freshly created profile and upstream tarballs to check if the problem comes from our build. CC:

doktor5000 How to reproduce? Here everything is rock stable. CC:

krytarowski I have no idea how to reproduce, perhaps having multiple cores help to hang it? I only know that i keep open alot of tabs and i never reboot the machine and keep this open 24x7, and since i updated, i got alot of hangs. We have FF 8 now, so closing as old. Status:

RESOLVED at work with FF8, it seems the memory is slightly better, and i didn't reproduce any similar issues yet, so i'm ok with this. i note however that FF mem usage(leak) if it's running for a few days, is still taking a huge amount of memory. after a week, it's still > 2GB, and the about:memory page (which has a "free up memory" button) doesn't work at all... best way is to killall -9 firefox and restart with restore all sessions. Then best recheck with upstream tarballs and report upstream. And maybe look at comment#1 again ... likely the latest xulrunner there is in mga1 ... i'll see about the memory thing later That was asked because there is a likely possibility that you have many old xulrunner libs installed in paralell. that is a possibility, allthough it's a pretty new installation (a few months back), but anyways, shouldn't it always use the latest one? as i said, i kill FF now and then, so i can restore session later so i assume that the newer xulrunners are being used?
