i586 Thank you for the report. This is not the only bug about M8-M9 upgrades which do not go to normal end, but which still result in a working and updateable M9 system. If you have a bootable M9 (it looks like it), please (as root) compress and attach the file: /root/drakx/report.bug [If you see also /root/drakx/report.bug.xz, this might apply to the original installation, not the upgrade. If the date/timestamp indicates it is for the upgrade, attach that directly]. CC:

Don't sure if it helps, look like that /root/drakx/report.bug is from mageia 8 time, and /root/drakx/report.bug.xz is even older. The only files that looks like upgrade time is some installx.log and debugx.log, but a quick inspect make me think don't have useful information [root@cefiro drakx]# ls -la total 12004 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 mar 5 16:15 ./ drwxr-x--- 18 root root 4096 mar 7 10:18 ../ -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2606 mar 5 16:15 auto_inst.cfg.pl -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 26633 mar 5 16:15 ddebug.log -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1501866 ene 15 2001 ddebug.log1 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1668011 feb 15 2021 ddebug.log2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 14591 mar 3 12:07 ddebug.log3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5330271 mar 3 13:57 ddebug.log4 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 59401 mar 3 14:06 ddebug.log5 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 153351 ene 15 2001 install.log1 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 280835 feb 15 2021 install.log2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1481 mar 3 12:10 install.log3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 873671 mar 3 13:56 install.log4 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 mar 3 14:06 install.log5 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6569 feb 15 2021 package_list.pl -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 243 feb 15 2021 README -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2136319 feb 15 2021 report.bug -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 167780 ene 15 2001 report.bug.xz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4147 ene 15 2001 stage1.log1 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5959 feb 15 2021 stage1.log2 Thank you for this information. IN_ERRATA9 I make a clean Mageia 8 install of affected hardware and upgrade again with classic installer image and today the issue was not reproduced. Its possible that is fixed by updates This and also bug#31621 look like solved. What i must do with their erratas https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_9_Errata#Crash_before_the_end_of_install and https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_9_Errata#Very_Long_boot_after_Upgrade ? Status:
